Born and raised in the scenic highlands of Haliburton, Ontario, Ryan Van Lee’s journey into music started early when his Opa introduced him to the accordion. By age 10, he had picked up the guitar and quickly fell in love with country music, learning from some of Canada’s greats - including his close friend and Country Music Hall of Famer Johnny Burke. 

Now in his late 20s, Ryan is carving out his lane as one of the most exciting emerging voices in Canadian country. Known for his authentic songwriting, high-energy performances, and natural connection with a crowd, he blends modern country with classic rock influences to create a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. Backed by a tight four-piece band of seasoned players, his live show has become a must-see - whether it’s a packed bar, festival stage, or late-night set. 

Ryan has brought that energy to some of North America’s most iconic stages, including Broadway in Nashville, Sauble Beach, and the legendary Kee To Bala, where he’s returned year after year. 

On the release front, Ryan continues to build strong momentum with recent singles like “Company” which hit over 400K+ Streams on Spotify and most recently “Downtown”. Each track highlights his roots in traditional country storytelling while leaning into a modern edge that’s resonating with a growing fanbase. 

With new music continuing to roll out and a full project on the horizon, Ryan Van Lee is building something real - and he’s just getting started.
